Sonys E3 2012 at a glance.

Im sure all of you remember last years E3 for sony, PSN outages and it being hacked, wasn't the best time for them to be on stage trying to win the people back. This year they did not have any problems like that, although they are coming off of the worst profit loss year for the company. This E3 was important, possibly for the survival of the company, lets see what they plan on doing.

First off, the new exclusive game coming from the devleopers of Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls. In a Nutshell this game is about a girl who has been having trouble with an invisible ghost. The game will follow 15 years of her life and some of the stuff you have to go through, as you control her and the ghost.

Next, was the Last of Us, which is a post-apocalyptic game. They showed a Demo of this and it appears to be a very violent game. Joel the main character is sneaking his way through the map, killing anyone who he comes in contact with. We also see him with a little girl, Ellie.

God of War: Ascension was also showcased at E3. It looks like the normal God of War, although you will be playing Kratos before he turns into an immortal, and find out where he gets his powers from.

Assassins Creed III was shown, it reminded us that the revolution was not only on land, but also on sea. We saw the battle between ships, firing cannons at one another, notice the water on the ship deck, looks as if they did a wonderful job.

Farcry3 shows off it 4 player co-op. Each player would be given a special weapons and tasks to perform. One player carries the bomb while the next snipes the enemies in the distance while someone else hit the guys that are flanking them.

A demo of PlayStation All-Star Battle Royale was also shown, with Fat Princess, Sly Cooper, Sweet Tooth, and Kratos playing against each other. Also, Big Daddy and Nathan Drake where revealed along with announcement of it also coming to the Vita with cross play between PS3 and Vita.

PlayStation Plus was told to also have an overhaul. Offered free games to subscribers, 12 of them in fact, along with a year free to console attendees.

However, the one thing they needed to push, didn't do so well in my opinion, the Vita. We heard that PS1 classics where coming, Assasins creed spin off, Black Ops: Declassified. Not a strong lineup, if you ask me. Doesn't make me want to buy a vita, unlike the PlayStation Plus which pushed me to turn on PS for the first time in 70 days.

Lastly was WonderBook, which is an augmented reality toy from the works of J.K. Rowling. This allows you to interact with books, and received a lot of air time to show it off.
